For security reasons, University Computing Account passwords cannot be recovered, only reset.
To reset your password online, you must have already activated your account and have
selected your three security questions and answers. If you have not activated your account or
have not set your security questions, you must call the Help Desk at 412-624-HELP [4357] in order to proceed.

Please provide the answers to your Security Questions. Answers are not case sensitive.
Reset Password
There are a few key points to keep in mind when resetting your password:
Your new password must be 15 to 30 characters long.
Your new password must include at least ONE of each of the following: upper case character, lower case character, and a number.
Your new password must include a special character (for example, +, @, #, or $). The following characters can NOT be used: _ . ` , < > & !
Your password cannot include your username, first name, last name, or nick name.
You cannot reuse any of your previous 24 passwords or any password that was used within the last 365 days.
Keep in mind that passwords are case sensitive.
Passwords should never be shared with another individual.
Your password has been reset. You may now use your new password to log into University services.
Please note:
You will be prompted to enter this new password on all of your devices for common University services such as logging into University email and PittNet Wi-Fi.
